Proper Vehicle Washing-
Part I The traditional method
The new method involves using a dry wash or waterless method.
People are often afraid to not use water on their vehicle
to clean them however due to new technology in cleaning
solutions it is possible to do this even on dirty vehicles.
Use common sense here, if there is caked on mud or a layer
of salt on your vehicle you want to rinse that off before
using a dry wash method.
The items you will need include a waterless wash product
(there currently a few to choose from we use and recommend
the Dry Wash N' Guard Ultra ION product) & several micro
fibre cloths.
1. Spray product onto a small section of the vehicle. We
recommend treating one panel at a time. For example do half
of the hood, then the other half, then one quarter panel...
2. Lightly spread the product onto the paint with one cloth.
3. After a moment buff remaining haze to a high luster using
a new cloth.
4. Continue this step on all paint, glass, plastic and metal
surfaces of the vehicle.
Both methods have some benefits. First traditional washing
is great for vehicles that have a significant amount of
dirt and grime. The dry wash method is a quicker way, reduces
the chances of micro scratching the paint because of the
lubricants in the product, saves water used with traditional
washing, anti static properties of the Ultra ION product
reduces the amount of dust that sticks to the vehicle and
leaves a protective shine that lasts about one month.
